Lot of people are planning to start a new diet plans during the summer. As a result a diet plan that is followed especially in the summer season is called summer diets. Summer is termed as the best time to shed some clothes and also make efforts to decrease your weight as well. Summer diets include eating all your food in moderate quantities for the whole summer season. Eating food in moderation will help you to keep yourself fit and slim. Also eating in moderation keeps your weight under control and keeps obesity and obesity related disorders at bay. Summer diets stress more on having plenty of fruits and vegetable servings every day. You should at least have three servings of fat free food also every day. Also you can have foods less in calories and foods that are high in fiber content as well as calcium and important nutrients.

Foods rich in fiber help to control your weight and at the same time give you a complete sense of satisfaction. Also high fiber foods do not make you hungry the very next hour as in the case of many foods where you feel full after you eat but after an hour or so you will hungry again. The other advantage of having fiber rich foods is that it slows down the breakdown of sugars in the body, resulting in less absorption of glucose in the blood stream.

Also there are a lot of fruits and vegetables growing in summer and you will never fall short of choices. Fruits and vegetable have fantastic health benefits like improving blood pressure and circulation, increasing your immunity against the most common diseases like cold, cancer, etc.

In your summer diet you can include rich in Vitamin A and C and also Lycopene. Some of the bets sources of vitamins A and C are tomatoes and bell peppers. Tomatoes are also low in carbohydrates. To add the benefits of tomatoes, they contain Lycopene too. Lycopene is necessary to prevent several types of cancers and also prevents bad cholesterol from getting absorbed in the body and harm the body.

Summer diets also mention the use of peppers that help to increase the body’s immune system against diseases. Peppers are also said to be rich in vitamin C and are proven to be more vitamin C rich than even tomatoes.

To conclude summer diets are a great way of losing a few kilos for good and keeping your weight under check.
